Christmas Story

We love to tell our children the story of Jesus' birth and they are always interested in hearing it. Just the other night when were telling the story and singing some Christmas songs, Dallin asked why the Shepherds had to leave the hillside. I said that they wanted to go see baby Jesus in the stable. He then asked why Mary didn't just take baby Jesus to see the Shepherds on the hillside instead. I told him that it takes a lot of work for a mommy to help the baby come out of her tummy and that Mary was probably tired. then he said " Maybe she just didn't have a sling to carry her baby in."
