Covered Wagon

Yesterday the weather was bad  so we decided to turn the boys bunk beds into a covered wagon and go on an adventure.  We "built" our wagon by inclosing the beds with blankets and then all climbed inside for our adventure. When I asked the boys about the horses or oxen to pull the wagon Spencer said that we had cheetahs to pull our wagon so we could go really fast. When they got tired Spencer then decided that Zebras were going to pull the wagon.  We went really fast again.  Then we stopped to eat some of our food, We had the normal pioneer food like water, grains and of coarse Spencer's muffins.  According to Dallin it took us a long time to cross the plains--like 14 hours!  It was quite the pioneer adventure.
I had talked to Dallin about pioneer life before our adventure and we talked about all the things that the pioneers didn't have that we have today.  He was amazed that they didn't have bikes or lots of toys and things like electricity and movies. When I told him that they didn't have computers he asked, How did they write their letters to each other?" It sounded like a pretty rough life to him. Its probably good that my boys were born at this time rather than as pioneers.

What a great mom you are! I hope Henry is feeling better. Emmy tells us to pray for him at every prayer and says some prayers for him by herself. I didn't realize she knew he was sick! Maybe it's an intuitive cousin thing...
I love you!
