Easter Mouse

So this year we got to play the Easter bunny. We had candy and a couple of little toys for the boys. Matt and I set everything out the night before. I decided to hide the little cars we had for them and I used all of our wrapped candy to make a little path to them. Then Matt and I went up to bed. The next morning, we came downstairs to see what the Easter bunny had brought for us. I came down first so that I could have the camera ready as the boys found their Easter surprises but little did I know there was a surprise waiting for me. I turned on the light and realized that the candy trails were gone. I was in shock. I couldn't figure out how someone could have gotten in and why they would only steal candy. Matt had the idea that it must be some kind of animal. but we couldn't figure out what could have hauled of all that candy. He thought it was hilarious that the night we had planed on an animal coming in and surprising us it had actually happened. It was just a mouse instead of a bunny. I was pretty disappointed that our Easter morning had been ruined. The boys really didn't know the difference. That night Matt and I saw our little culprit. A small gray mouse had hauled off all of our candy and hidden it under our TV stand and was coming back to get it.
This week we found his hole in the back of our closet under the stairs. We filled it in and hope that we won't have anymore little critters in our house.
